Many Doctors Don’t Always Report Errors, Incompetent Colleagues
A survey in the December 4 issue of the journal Annals of Internal Medicine found that while most doctors believe in the tenets of medical professionalism, there’s a gap between these standards and doctors’ actions. According to the survey, almost half of all doctors say they have witnessed medical mistakes but have not reported them.
