Helmet law splits Iowa

Iowa remains one of three states without a mandatory motorcycle helmet law in spite of an increasing number of fatalities over the past decade.

“Wearing a helmet is very important,” said Azeem Ahmed, a UI clinical associate professor of emergency medicine.
