Lenoir-Rhyne family plans wrongful-death suit
Family members of a Lenoir-Rhyne University student – who died after being injured in a fraternity activity – say the death resulted from hazing and that they plan to file a wrongful-death lawsuit in the case.
A statement issued through the lawyer for Harrison Kowiak’s family followed District Attorney Jay Gaither’s own statement this week, in which Gaither said he found no basis for criminal charges in the death.
